Premises Liability Settlement Against A City
PARRIS obtained a $1,750,000 premises liability settlement on behalf of our injured client against a city in Los Angeles County.
Our client was attending an annual festival in her local neighborhood park when an unsecured aluminum archway fell and hit her, causing serious injuries.
It was alleged that this unsecured aluminum archway was a dangerous condition and that the city had a responsibility of ensuring that visitors to the park would not be injured by the park’s structures.
Other notable premises liability settlements obtained by PARRIS include a $9.23 million settlement for a woman injured by a table that fell over in a hotel lobby, as well as a $5.5 million settlement for a woman who was assaulted due to the failure of a bank to hire adequate security for its business.
