PARRIS Law Firm is seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills to join our team. The Trial Support Technician position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of trials by providing technical support and assistance during trial preparation and courtroom proceedings. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with strong decision-making abilities and prior experience with audio-visual equipment set-ups.
Primary Duties:
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to organize and prepare case materials for presentation during court proceedings
- Collaborate with IT staff on technology projects, issue resolution, and knowledge sharing when appropriate
- Set up and maintain courtroom technology and audio-visual equipment, including projectors, monitors, computer hardware, network, audio systems, and video conferencing tools
- Assist with the preparation of multimedia presentations, demonstratives, and visual aids to enhance the clarity of complex legal arguments for jurors
- Provide on-site technical support during trial proceedings, including managing presentations, monitors, computer hardware, network, and other multimedia components
- Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during trial preparation and courtroom proceedings, ensuring quick resolutions to minimize disruptions
- Stay updated on the latest courtroom technology trends and tools, providing recommendations for enhancements to the firm’s trial support capabilities

Applicant Requirements
Proficiency in Keynote/PowerPoint is required, and experience using Trial Director and On-cue software is preferred.
- A current and valid driver’s license is mandatory, along with a reliable vehicle and up-to-date auto insurance
- Familiarity with audio-visual equipment setup
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel and PowerPoint) or ability to easily learn and master various software applications
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus but not required
- Ability to convey confidence in high-stress situations
- Ability to work extended hours and travel during active trial periods
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy trial equipment
- Team-oriented, open to input from others, able to build relationships across departments
- Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures is a plus but not required
