SoCalGas has been ordered to pay $6,500 for withholding vital information for the 2015 Aliso Canyon gas well blowout lawsuit.

This ruling also means that SoCalGas has 10 days to release the information in question, which is more than 165 documents and communications with independent engineering consultant AECOM.

“The sanctions levied by the judge are serious and substantial. We hope that from here on out SoCalGas and its counsel stop playing games and start abiding by the law,” said PARRIS Attorney R. Rex Parris.
