- For bicyclists, Vanowen Street and Sepulveda Boulevard—also in Van Nuys—was the riskiest Valley intersection.

The San Fernando Valley has had higher-than-average crash statistics for many years. This is partly because many Valley residents commute to LA for work, creating congested freeways and arterial roads during the morning and evening rush hours.
