Follert represents plaintiffs in complex civil litigation, with a focus on environmental disputes. Her practice is grounded in rigorous legal research and writing, and she has experience working on matters spanning discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Through her work at plaintiff-side firms and in public service, Follert has developed a strong commitment to victim advocacy and to holding powerful institutions accountable.

While in law school, Follert served as a law clerk at a prominent plaintiff-side firm, where she worked on sexual assault and fertility negligence matters and assisted with drafting complaints, demand letters, and dispositive motion briefing. She also externed for the Honorable Elaine Lu of the Los Angeles Superior Court, drafting rulings on motions for summary judgment and conducting independent legal research across a range of civil issues. In addition, Follert interned with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office in the Consumer Protection Section, contributing to litigation involving consumer fraud, data privacy, and technology companies.

Follert earned her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University’s Caruso School of Law, where she received multiple CALI Awards. She was an Editorial Board Member of thePepperdine Law Review, serving as both an Associate Editor and Literary Citation Editor, and was President of the Women’s Legal Association. She also worked as a research assistant to Associate Dean Jason Jarvis, contributing to scholarly work on complex civil procedure issues.

Before pursuing law, Follert earned a Master of Arts in Art History from New York University’s Institute of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Williams College. Her earlier career in the art world, including directing a well-known New York gallery, sharpened her skills in advocacy, negotiation, and client representation. In law, she brings that same analytical rigor and client-centered approach to representing individuals whose voices are too often overlooked.
