Ryan A. Crist is an attorney with PARRIS Law Firm and a member of its complex litigation team.
Ryan represents hundreds of thousands of workers and consumers in class actions, mass torts, and individual claims against corporate giants. Named by Super Lawyers as one of Southern California’s “Rising Stars” in both 2023 and 2024, Ryan has expertly shepherded countless large-scale and complex cases across the finish line to secure tens of millions of dollars for clients. His approach — which balances compassionate client relations with aggressive discovery tactics, innovative problem-solving, and a command of civil procedure — has helped PARRIS out-maneuver even the most experienced lawyers in state and federal court.
Ryan is an expert at handling claims under the California Labor Code, including the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), and the California Business and Professions Code. He has been appointed lead class counsel in numerous employment matters, including class actions to recover wages for unpaid workers and employee misclassification as independent contractors. He’s also handled large-scale class actions for constitutional violations, illegal taxation, illicit call recording, breaches of privacy, product defects, and other consumer rights. His individualized cases also span wildfire devastation, employment law, breach of contract, and copyright and trademark infringements.
Ryan obtained his law degree from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. While in school, Ryan worked as a peer-elected editor of the Pepperdine Law Review. Since then, he has written for The Advocate and shared his extensive experience with scores of lawyers in continuing legal education seminars. Ryan also serves his local community on the board of Valley Oasis, a non-profit agency that provides critical services to homeless individuals and victims of domestic violence.
Ryan has obtained numerous seven, eight, and nine-figure verdicts and settlements in cases throughout California, including the following:
