Highway 14 Wrongful Death Settlement
PARRIS obtained a $1,934,546 million car accident wrongful death settlement for the family of a man killed in a car accident on Highway 14.
Our client was driving on Highway 14 when he came to a stop on the freeway because the LA County Sheriff’s Department was conducting a felony stop ahead of him. All three northbound lanes on the highway were at a complete stop when the defendant, traveling in his car at a high rate of speed, slammed into the victim’s car from behind.
The victim died while being transported to Antelope Valley Hospital, leaving behind his wife and three adult children.
The defendant claimed he had no knowledge of the collision and was adjudicated incompetent to stand trial due to Alzheimer’s.
Other notable PARRIS wrongful death case results include a $4 million wrongful death settlement on behalf of the family of a 21-year old killed by a drunk driver and a $2.75 million wrongful death verdict on behalf of an 18-year-old man killed in a car accident.
